I blossomed into a lady form the days of the early 80s. Was born into a era that was filled with big hair, carefree times such as Saturday mornings dancing around the house to Madonna while spring cleaning, sun was shinning with a light breeze and upbeat music Thur out the house. If I could bottle it up id call it bliss.

There was no such thing as cell phones just yet communication came with effort. If you wanted to see someone you would have to ride your bike to their house and knock at there door . The simple days of more muscle work and less worries.

I learned most of my childhood lessons in my hometown of Waltham, a city over from Cambridge,Ma. Many experiences in my childhood that
made me cherish beauty in everything .
Learned that it is not whats going on in your life that forms you, but yet the way you view it.
You have the power of your mind. Nobody else can take that away.

I turned to music often . I would put my Walkman on and just walk. Drift into a daydream. To this day I am known to shock a few people on the dance floor. Yes this white girl has rhythm.

Fast forward Thur high school because that was all a blur at times.

After High school I was blessed with great opportunities within the career field. Played the part for many years of the young professional . Then I decided that this life wasn't my beat that I was meant to walk.

So I took a leap and tapped into my creative side and birthed my photography business and took a chance at becoming something more than just a survivor but a person with purpose. A person that walked to her beat.

Someone once said something that really stuck with me "Everyone starts off as an armature"
You will not just jump into something and be perfect at it, you maybe good but greatness comes with trial and error!

Today I am a provider, a giver and a seeker and I am living with hope in my heart and a vision of a dream that one day I will make a difference in this world. Not only for myself but for the generations to come .

Life is about lessons we have to learn, and laughter to be had . The magic is finding it all and making it worth wild !!

  1. Kristina,

Good first post, but where is your affirmation acrostic poem? See the instructions in Moodle. Double check. Each week, your blog should have a poem at the end - sort of a summary of all of the lessons and thoughts generated during the week. This is important.

Your story is very interesting, and I like what you chose to focus on in your post. The imagery from the 80's was cool (I haven't thought of what a Walkman looked like in a while), the dancing in the morning, the birthing of your photography business... all very good and fascinating detail. I like how you tell a story. You have a unique style.

Go back and read your post again, though, and you'll spot several typos and grammatical errors that need to be cleaned up. Be sure to double check each week, so as to produce the most professional blog possible. There are a few misspelled words, run-on sentences, and misused punctuation marks. Easy to fix. See if you can spot them.

Overall, I like the tone in your blog and I appreciate your effort in this first round. Try to add more pictures (at least three per post - and certainly one towards the top of the page as your intro) to add to the design and effect of your blog. And be sure to follow the instructions. Every week should have a poem of some sort. This is very important - the crowning moment of your assignment.

I look forward to reading your next post and seeing these improvements.
